Fire Element - Transformation, Passion and the Divine

Posted by Emma Leafe on

THE FIRE OF OUR BEING

Fire reminds us that we are indeed Gods ... that we create in every moment with the fire of our being. The fuel of our thoughts deeds and dreams ... the digestive fire of Ayurvedic agni. Fire purifies, it destroys. Emotional fire, communicating internal feelings that can be utterly all-consuming.

WHAT IS FIRE IN 5-ELEMENT THEORY?

In 5-element theory the fire phase is Peak Power. In nature where wood describes the spring birth, fire celebrates what has become. In Summer fire energy expresses from buds, in brightness and expansion. There is nothing subtle about Summer, it's all out on display. Fire is peak potential, full throttle. An orgasm of spirit.

The Fire phase is a forge that transforms whatever goes into it: projects transform into realities. Ingredients to meals. Emotional pain into love and grief into wholeness. The potters kiln embodies fire, as it transforms mud into rock in searing temperatures. Something malleable such as wet clay, becomes, after fire, a study vessel.

PHILOSOPHY OF FIRE

There is a moment when an object on fire, or a symbolic stick of incense, transcends its physicality and becomes air ... smoke ... ash. The Spirit on fire similarly transcends human limitations and becomes divine

This season of late Spring and Early Summer the Fire element is present. Our Fire Element incense set, has a beautiful set of incense sticks, atmosphere mists, relaxing bath salts and an artisan made incense chalice bowl holder, straight from the fire of our gas kilns.
